**UPDATE** Since publishing this article, the Washington Post has admitted to mistakenly misquoting former President Donald Trump on the contents of the phone call in question with a Georgia official, regarding the results of the 2020 presidential election.

In a correction published by the publication on Thursday, WaPo wrote, “Correction: Two months after publication of this story, the Georgia secretary of state released an audio recording of President Donald Trump’s December phone call with the state’s top elections investigator. The recording revealed that The Post misquoted Trump’s comments on the call, based on information provided by a source.”

“Trump did not tell the investigator to ‘find the fraud’ or say she would be ‘a national hero’ if she did so. Instead, Trump urged the investigator to scrutinize ballots in Fulton County, Ga., asserting she would find ‘dishonesty’ there. He also told her that she had ‘the most important job in the country right now.'”

Trump has since thanked the publication for correcting the misquote.

As I’m sure you recall, it was a phone call in which Donald Trump was pressuring another official that earned him a grade A, bonafide impeachment the first go-around. And now it seems he’s been back at it again.

The former president has already been busted once in a less-than-flattering phone call with Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger in which Trump attempted to pressure the Georgia official into somehow changing the results of the 2020 presidential election into his favor after Joe Biden flipped the traditionally red state.

And now, to add fuel to the dumpster fire that already was Donald Trump, the Wall Street Journal has obtained and released ANOTHER recording of a phone call, this time between the former president and Frances Watson, chief investigator in the Secretary of State’s office regarding the election results.

This call was revealed back in January, according to a report from Mediaite, but this particular audio has only now been released. During the call, the former president can be heard bragging about his wins in other states and doubling down on the claims that he actually won the state of Georgia.

“Something happened there, something bad happened,” Trump says in the recording. “If you go back two years, and if you can get to Fulton, you’re gonna find things that are gonna be unbelievable… Fulton is the motherlode.”

“We are only interested in the truth and finding the information that is based on the facts,” Watson responded to the then-president.

But Trump wasn’t taking no for an answer, doubling-down, “The people of Georgia are so angry at what happened to me. They know I won, won by hundreds of thousands of votes, it wasn’t close.”

“When the right answer comes out, you’ll be praised,” Trump went on. “Whatever you can do, Frances, it’s a great thing, it’s an important thing for the country, so important. You have no idea, so important.”

In addition to the heat he’s under in the state of New York, Fulton County district attorney Fani Willis is also conducting an investigation into the former president’s efforts to pressure state officials regarding the election.
