Over the course of his time in the public eyes, Donald Trump has boycotted about a million things, it seems like. Quite literally, it’s been so much that I can’t even really keep up with them all. Most recently, the ex-president’s boycott calls have been aimed at companies in the state of Georgia who dared to speak out against the Jim Crow-style election laws the state has recently implemented that perpetuate massive voting restrictions.

In connection to the new election laws, Major League Baseball was ultimately a “victim” of Trump’s version of “cancel culture” after they chose to pull their All-Star game out of Georgia in protest of the heinous laws. Of course, Trump pretty much immediately released one of his new official statements calling on everyone across the country to boycott the American professional baseball organization.

However, it seems as though Trump’s big boycott is stacking up to be nothing more than a big, fat flop as the major professional sports league is reporting record-breaking streaming numbers of the heels of Donald’s call to action.

CBS News’ Ed O’Keefe reported that Streaming views for @mlb games way up despite calls from prominent Republican/conservative leaders to boycott the league.”

In a tweet, the league itself announced their successes: ” With close games, exciting star performances & 2 no-hitters to begin the season, MLB.TV registered the most-watched 18-day period in its 20-season history, including the 7 most-watched days ever. Fans have already watched over 1.34 billion minutes of live games.”

The Associated Press also reports that the MLB is enjoying record-breaking numbers despite Trump’s childish attempts to ruin them, with the first 18 days of their season serving as the most-watched in the 20-year history of the MLB.TV streaming package.

Trump and many of his fellow Republicans also set their sights on other Georgia-based companies such as Delta Airlines and Coca-Cola after they also spoke out against the state’s horrifying changes to election laws, and thus far those boycotts have been similarly unsuccessful. Both companies have enjoyed a continuous upward trajectory in their share prices, compared to a year ago, even after Trump and his cronies called for a country-wide boycott of their products and services.

It seems that Donnie boy’s voice already doesn’t carry near the clout he thought it did.
