Haunting security footage has surfaced that shows a couple exchanging what looks like a loving, sweet kiss — just moments before the woman would allegedly feed her boyfriend a poisoned chocolate dessert, killing him.
Luiz Ormond was found dead in his flat in Rio de Janeiro on May 20th after Ormond’s neighbors called the police regarding a foul odor emanating from the residence.
Police would discover Ormond’s heavily decomposed body lying on the couch in his living room with a head wound that was deemed consistent with a blunt force injury to the head.
An autopsy was performed on Ormond and, while an official cause of death has not been released (with some reports indicating that the cause of death could not be determined), the medical examiner who conducted the autopsy confirmed that traces of chocolate were found in the deceased’s digestive tract.
Investigators in this case believe that Ormond consumed a poisoned brigadeiro — a very popular chocolate-based Brazillian dessert that’s similar to a chocolate truffle.

The main suspect in this alleged murder is none other than Ormond’s girlfriend Júlia Cathermol.
In the disturbing security footage that has recently been released to the public, Ormond is seen holding a plate covered in aluminum foil — containing what could very well be the poisoned sweets that his girlfriend would go on to kill him with, just moments after the footage was captured.
Ormond’s neighbors told local authorities that they had last seen the couple together on May 17th, 3 days before Ormond’s decomposed body would be discovered in his flat.
Haunting CCTV footage from inside an elevator shows Ormond and Cathermol sharing a kiss. In the footage, Cathermol is holding a bottle, while Ormond holds the plate covered in foil. At one point, the elevator stops at a floor where a woman gets in. The couple chats with the woman before exiting the elevator.
Investigators believe that the plate in Ormond’s hand may have held the poisoned desserts.
Additional CCTV footage from May 19th shows Cathermol leaving the apartment building to go to the gym. She later returns to the building and back to Ormond’s apartment.
Cathermol’s friend Suyane Breschak has been arrested based on evidence that she assisted Cathermol with disposing of Ormond’s belongings. This included selling a vehicle, which Breschak claims settled a debt of approximately $115,000 owed to her by Cathermol.
Breschak claimed that prior to the sale of the car, Cathermol had been making $960 monthly payments to her on the debt.
Breschak told investigators that Cathermol had called her to inform her that Ormond was dead. She stated that she had to wrap Ormond’s body in bedsheets and turn on the fans because “it was really stinking.”
According to Breschak, Cathermol informed her that she had scrubbed the apartment down with bleach, but vultures were beginning to gather around the windows of the flat.
Authorities believe that Cathermol actually remained in the flat with Ormond’s dead and decomposing body until May 20th, the day he was discovered.
On May 20th, Cathermol is seen on CCTV footage leaving the apartment with several suitcases.
Authorities are still searching for Cathermol.
