After fighting tooth and nail for literal years to keep his ass on the free side of the steel window bars, infamous Trump sycophant and former chief White House strategist in the disgraced ex-president’s administration, Steve Bannon, finally reported to federal prison late last month to serve out his sentence on his Contempt of Congress charges — and sources are saying he’s super scared about who and what he’s going to find in there.
Bannon was first found guilty on charges of contempt of Congress and initially sentenced for his crimes back in 2022, stemming from his blatant refusal to cooperate with a congressional subpoena issued against him by the now-disbanded January 6th House Select Committee. Bannon, of course, immediately appealed his conviction and subsequent sentence and proceeded to fight that out in the courts for a whopping 2 years, during which he was successful in avoiding any jail time while he waded through that extensive appeals process. However, eventually, the proverbial fat lady sang when the United States Supreme Court issued a one-sentence ruling in late June that saw Bannon sentenced to four months behind bars — almost identical to Peter Navarro, who just got out of jail for the exact same thing.
In the wake of the SCOTUS decision, the Daily Beast released a report citing an unnamed but close source to the far-right activist who claimed that Bannon was “quite concerned” about potentially dangerous fellow inmates he would encounter during his four-month stint at FCI Danbury, in Connecticut.
Unlike his fellow convict and former Trump advisor, Peter Navarro, Bannon’s prison time is expected to be a little tougher, as Navarro managed to get stuck in a federal prison camp in Florida that’s largely considered to be “much less strict on inmates,” where Navarro’s biggest concerns would amount to “boredom and slow communications.”

Bannon, on the other hand, already had other charges hanging over his head, stemming from allegedly defrauding his supporters with his bogus “Build The Wall” campaign, for which he is still awaiting trial in Manhattan, but bought him a much harsher environment to serve out his Congressional Content sentence.
One of the anonymous insiders told the Beast that Bannon “will be on a more rigid day-to-day schedule that has less freedom of movement, stricter check-ins and will be surrounded by more dangerous criminals.” Reporter Josh Fiallo also confirmed that FCI Danbury’s inmate population of roughly 800 prisoners includes “sex offenders and violent criminals.”
