Just when you think he can't POSSIBLY get any worse.

Let me start by making one thing extremely clear — I absolutely cannot stand Kevin McCarthy. I personally think he is a vile, horrible, God-awful human being and it wouldn’t hurt my feelings a bit if I never saw or heard from him again for the rest of my life.

But if there’s anyone on this earth who stacks up to be even worse than Kevin McCarthy, it’s Matt Gaetz.

Gaetz took it upon himself to make that fact painfully clear to anyone with an eyeball and an ear, when he decided to make a complete ass out of himself during the Republican National Convention when he approached McCarthy, who was quite literally smack dab in the middle of an interview, and attempted to taunt and mock the short-lived former House Speaker, only to be pulled away and thoroughly called out on his jackass behavior.

In video footage that’s spread like wildfire on social media, Gaetz is seen walking up to McCarthy who was actively speaking to reporters, and beginning to interrupt McCarthy’s interview, yelling out, “What night are you speaking? Are you speaking tonight?”

Bystanders who were gathered around as the altercation began attempting to physically pull Gaetz away from the former House Speaker who was still trying to finish his interview with reporters.

However, Gaetz kept going, forcing his way back toward McCarthy as he continued to yell, “Hey, you’re not, if you took that stage, you would get booed off of it! You would get booed off the stage.”

At one point in the above video, we see Gaetz turn around as he is confronted by a white-haired man behind him.  In that video, we can’t hear what they’re saying but don’t worry. Someone else caught it.

In this angle of the altercation, we can hear the white-haired man say, “Shut up, Gaetz.”

The FL House Rep. turns and gets in the man’s face a little, as the man adds, “Why you gotta be an asshole?”

Gaetz responds by saying, “Dude, I don’t even know who you are,” prompting the guy to respond, “It doesn’t f-cking matter who I am. You’re an asshole.”

That guy wasn’t the only one to get his shots in at Gaetz, either.

After the fratboy Florida congressman finally went away to be obnoxious somewhere else, Kevin McCarthy had this to say in the rest of his interview:

I don’t have anything to add to that…
