There’s certainly no denying that Donald Trump is going through a lot right now, and absolutely none of it looks good for him.
Even setting aside the massive mountain of legal trouble he’s still facing — including multiple investigations, indictments, and felony convictions — the last few weeks have been absolutely brutal for the scandal-plagued former president and 2024 Republican presidential nominee.
President Joe Biden’s rather sudden and unexpected withdrawal from the 2024 race was bad enough for the ex-president, and only got much worse still when sitting Vice President Kamala Harris was almost instantly installed as Biden’s replacement. Since then, the presumptive Democratic nominee has centered herself as nothing short of a trailblazing force to be reckoned with, breaking fundraising records literally overnight and closing the polling gaps between Trump and the Left in almost as short an amount of time.
In the wake of Harris’ bombshell drop into the race, Trump and his team have been desperately trying to do damage control in an effort to somehow regain the footing that the former president has rapidly lost over the last couple of weeks.
As part of that effort, Trump appeared for a Q&A event at the National Association of Black Journalists — where he officially made a complete and total ass out of himself in every conceivable way.

In the aftermath of that absolute dumpster fire, one of Trump’s former White House officials took to social media with a rather interesting theory that I don’t think anyone had truly considered until now.
Anthony Scaramucci, who served only 10 days as Donald Trump’s White House Communications Director before morphing into a staunch and vocal critic of his former boss, took to X (formerly known as Twitter) with this crazy prediction: “Don’t be surprised if Donald Trump drops out of the race.”

As it stands, not too many people are buying Scaramucci’s suggestion, as we all know that Donald J. Trump has more to lose right now than he ever has before in his 78 years of life:

If he wasn’t facing insane financial penalties and potential (probable) prison time, his greed and his ego would still prevent him from dropping out. But I do recall what happened in a certain bunker in Berlin in May of ’45.

I would be shocked if that happened. I don’t believe there’s any way he would he do that when he can just do what he did last time and pretend he won and he got cheated. He’s going to double down again this time after he gets crushed at the polls in November.

Personally, I can’t see a single scenario in which Donald Trump would withdrawal from this race. However, it’s certainly worth considering just how much Trump hates to lose, and I think he’s well aware that he’s on the fast track to another brutal and humiliating loss.
Only time will tell…
