Meghan McCain Tried To Go After Tim Walz, Humiliated Herself Instead

She really should have sat this one out.

On Monday, Meghan McCain released her inner dumb person on X and was subsequently piled on by X users who were more than happy to remind her just how ignorant she is. She tried to smack Governor Tim Walz (D-Minn.) but that went sideways, as things often do with her.

“I’m allowed to not like Governor Walz and no amount of histrionic bullying or evoking my family on social media is going to get me to say different.”

I don’t like or trust Governor Walz – go get your smelling salts.”

No one is sure what prompted her to spout this insane and ultimately meaningless remark. Because McCain is largely inane. She lost the popularity contest as America’s favorite Trump-hater thanks to her time as The View’s most annoying co-host. And with posts like this, McCain is still annoying people.

So X users responded in kind.

“We don’t need smelling salts,” said X user dfrntdrmmr. “It’s not like we’re watching you on The View, or anything.”

BOOM!

@JoJoFromJerz noted:

“No one is remotely surprised by this Meghan. But it is endlessly amusing that you think anyone actually gives a shit. Show me one mind changed by your opinion. And yes, it has to be someone with at least a single firing synapse.”

This might be my favorite slap. It zings Ann Coulter, McCain, and Sarah Huckabee Sanders all at one. Woot!

But the thing I don’t get about McCain is why she’s dissing the Harris-Walz campaign and other Democrats. She claims to hate Trump but it almost seems like she’s trying to get him reelected. Trump was notoriously cruel to her father, the late Republican Senator John McCain (Ariz.), who fought in the Vietnam War and spent years as a POW. Trump notoriously claimed, “I like people who weren’t captured.”

McCain’s post led @mastrap84 to wonder:

“It’s so odd that you were so adamantly against Trump because of his denigration of your father and now you’re in lock step with them. How much money have you been given? That seems to be how all of you change your minds.”

I have to wonder if McCain isn’t feeling humiliated after all these posts that so aptly tell her like she is. I’m not sure she’s capable of humility.

I noted earlier that I found McCain to be inane. Her book, Bad Republican: A Memoir, flopped. Massively, Salon reports. I don’t know how popular her podcast Citizen McCain is, but it’s clear this woman is desperate for attention. When she left The View, she sank below the radar and now she keeps coming up for attention. This is truly sad. John McCain’s daughter is a sad parody trying to remain relevant in the world of politics.
