North Carolinaās GOP is sweating bullets right now, thanks to some juicy rumors about Lt. Gov. Mark Robinsonās *ahem* extracurricular internet activities. Word on the street was that Robinson, the Republican candidate for governor, has a bit of a history on adult websites. Yeah, you read that rightāheās allegedly left some colorful comments on sites like āNude Africaā back in the 2000s. Naturally, Robinson and his team are dodging questions harder than heās dodging accountability.
In classic Trump style, he ran to his defense wasting no time to show that he sides with the worst people.
Trump: We have to cherish Mark Robinson. You have to cherish him. Heās like a fine wine. He’s an outstanding person. I’ve gotten to know him so well pic.twitter.com/ffkjfi56X8

Insiders were whispering that even Trumpās crew was telling Robinson to pack it up and drop out of the race before this thing blows wide open. Of course, Robinsonās camp is calling it āfiction,ā but come onāhe just canceled two campaign events, supposedly because of a COVID diagnosis. Real subtle, Mark.

The drama doesnāt stop there. Apparently, Trumpās team doesnāt want Robinson anywhere near campaign events, and folks are pointing fingers at his opponent, Josh Stein, for leaking the goods to CNN and local outlets.
Robinson mightāve made history by snagging the GOP nomination, and he could be North Carolinaās first Black governor, but letās just say his past is messier than a reality TV reunion. Trump himself called Robinson āMartin Luther King on steroidsāābut after CNNās investigation, that endorsementās looking pretty awkward.
CNN found Robinson, under the alias “minisoldr,” dropping some straight-up wild comments on adult websitesāeverything from calling himself a āblack NAZIā to saying heās into transgender porn. This from a guy whoās built his political career on anti-trans and āfamily valuesā rhetoric? Itās like a bad soap opera plot.
Robinson is denying it all, of course, despite CNN connecting the dots with his email and biographical details. And letās just say the things he allegedly posted back in 2008-2012 make his public stance on things like abortion and transgender rights look pretty hypocritical. He even reminisced about spying on women in gym showers as a teenagerāyeah, thatās not gonna age well.
In typical political fashion, Robinson is trying to shrug it off as ātabloid trashā and is focusing his energy on attacking his opponent, Josh Stein. But the question remains: can he ride out this scandal, or is this the beginning of the end for his gubernatorial run? Guess weāll just have to grab the popcorn and wait for the next episode.
Here’s how some responded to the posted Tweet.
Trump endorses the worst fucking people.

Yep, after doing research on this black klansman, I see why Trump loves the guy!

It hasn’t turned out well for those who side with Trump. One comment even brought up an old favorite, remember Omarosa Manigault?
Hey Mark, you’re getting shipped out with the rest of us. When he gets done using you, you’re getting shipped out with the rest of us. Don’t believe me? Ask Omarosa Manigault.

So, here we are: Mark Robinson, the GOPās hopeful for North Carolina governor, is neck-deep in scandal, and itās getting harder for him to swim. After all, itās tough to keep that āfamily valuesā facade when your alleged past includes online confessions about spying on women and enjoying the very things you publicly condemn. But hey, nothing says “political consistency” like raging against trans rights while secretly digging transgender porn, right?
Robinsonās desperate attempts to brush this off as “tabloid trash” are about as convincing as a reality starās 15th attempt at staying relevant. With Trump doubling down on his supportābecause of course he isāthe question is: will Robinson sink or swim? Either way, pass the popcorn; this GOP drama is just getting started.
