This caught @krassenstein’s attention.
“The guy who just spent the weekend quoting Napoleon about how he can’t “violate any law” and then, literally the next day, signed an executive order declaring that only he gets to decide what the law is, just straight-up called himself a King.”

Trump is doing everything he can to turn his presidency into a dictatorship. This is obvious by now. He’s even mused about serving for a third term, something that no one should find funny. Because when he muses about anything he’s often deadly serious. And Trump has frequently acted as if he’s a king, openly attempting to violate the Constitution.
I don’t know what it’s going to take for Republicans to quit brown-nosing him. Does he have to sink this country like the Titanic before they realize the errors of their ways?
Folks on social media responded thusly to the fake cover:
“Four-star General Mark Milley, former Chief of Staff of the U.S. Army and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, famously said…” noted @JoshKeatley.

Keatley also tweeted this, showing Trump calling himself a king.

@SuomiFella reported:
“Today Trump elevated himself to king, tomorrow to God. In any case, it is certain that Trump will not give up power voluntarily and he will try to ensure the transfer of power to one of his children, as is customary in monarchies #TrumpisaNationalDisgrace #TrumpIsUnfitForOffice”

@FunkyT53148 offered this, which directly references Republican attempts to help Trump serve a third term:
It‘s happing. Yes, a Republican representative, Andy Ogles from Tennessee, introduced a House Joint Resolution on January 23, 2025, proposing an amendment to the U.S. Constitution that would allow Donald Trump to serve a third term as president. This resolution seeks to modify…

I’m also going to add this last, also from Josh Keatley, because this is something Trump actually said.

Trump is spiteful and vindictive and wants to inflict his will on the country whether the rest of us like it or not. That’s the situation Trump supporters have put everyone in. Now they are facing the cold, hard facts like the rest of us.
I hope they’re happy.
