Trump’s Most Favorable Pollster Shows His Approval Rating Underwater For The First Time

His favorite poll just flipped

Donald Trump just took a hit from the last place he expected. Big Data Poll, a firm that has been one of his strongest supporters, now shows voters turning against him.

Their latest poll shows 49% of voters disapprove of Trump’s job performance. Only 48% approve. That means Trump is now in the negative — for the first time since returning to the White House.

This is not just any poll. It’s the same one that gave him his best numbers in January. Back then, Big Data Poll showed him at 56% approval and only 37% disapproval. That was a huge +19 rating. Even in May, he was still at +1.

But now, he has dropped to -1. That may sound small, but it’s a big shift. And it’s coming from voters in the middle.

Only 37% of independents approve of Trump. A sharp 56.6% disapprove.

Some groups are still with him. Voters between the ages of 30 and 49 are mostly supportive. College-educated voters also gave him a small boost. But Trump is losing younger voters fast. Only 28.7% of voters aged 18 to 29 support him now. That number used to be 41% in May. That’s a huge drop.

Older voters have stayed mostly the same.

Poll director Rich Baris said it clearly: “Voters, specifically part of the president’s partisan base and independents, believe the administration is focusing too much on issues that matter little to them, and dismissing issues that do.”

He added, “The White House clearly lost the messaging war over the One Big Beautiful Bill and that’s in no small part due to those achievements being overshadowed.”

Baris said the younger voters who once liked Trump are now “the most hostile” to him.

The country’s mood is also part of the problem. Only 39.4% of voters think the country is heading in the right direction. A full 52.2% think it’s going the wrong way.

And Big Data Poll is not alone. Many other polling firms are showing similar signs.

YouGov in July had Trump at -17. CNN’s poll had him at -18. Newsweek showed -11. Ipsos/Reuters had him at -13. AP-NORC gave him a -18 rating. Quinnipiac showed -14.

Even Morning Consult, which often leans positive, had Trump at -3. Quantus Insights showed -2. Echelon Insights had him at -8.

The numbers are not friendly anymore. And the warning is loud.
