The year was 1991. The place was New York. Donald Trump, then a flashy businessman, stood on stage next to teenage girls. Now, more than 30 years later, the footage is everywhere. And people are asking serious questions.

The video shows Trump hosting and judging the Elite “Look of the Year” modeling competition. He wasn’t just a guest. He was a sponsor, a judge, and the host. The girls were as young as 14. They were dancing, posing, smiling—while Trump and other powerful men looked on.

The event took place at Trump’s Plaza Hotel in New York City. It was presented as a major opportunity to launch the careers of young models. Many of the contestants were teenagers from small towns, brought in with promises of fame and success. They were flown into the city, styled in designer clothes, and placed on a stage meant to impress influential men in fashion, business, and media.

The competition was organized by Elite Model Management, one of the most powerful agencies at the time. John Casablancas, the founder of Elite, was present alongside Donald Trump. Casablancas was already known for his close relationships with many of his young models. Trump was also deeply involved. Together, they oversaw the competition where very young girls walked and posed for a panel of wealthy adults.

This was not just a modeling showcase. It was also a social event. Many of the girls were navigating an unfamiliar world surrounded by men with money, power, and control over their futures.

The video’s resurfacing comes at a time when newly unsealed court documents connected to Jeffrey Epstein’s criminal network have reignited public interest in the powerful individuals linked to him. The files, part of a defamation lawsuit involving Epstein associate Ghislaine Maxwell, include the names of high-profile men who allegedly had ties to Epstein or attended his infamous gatherings. Donald Trump, who had a well-documented friendship with Epstein in the 1990s and early 2000s, appears in photos and videos alongside him at various parties.

Against this backdrop, the newly resurfaced footage has triggered a flood of public reaction online.
