Trump’s Buddy Ron DeSantis Breaks From Him On Epstein File

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is calling on Trump’s administration to stop holding back the Epstein files. On Sunday night, DeSantis appeared on Fox News and said it clearly. He wants the truth out in the open.

“What I would say is release it and let people see,” DeSantis said. “There were obviously other people involved, and yet no one’s been brought to justice.”

That one sentence says a lot. DeSantis is now speaking the same concerns millions have held for years — that names are being protected and the truth is still locked away.

DeSantis said the people deserve justice. He said it was not just Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell. There are more people who took part in that abuse, and nothing has been done about them.

In February this year, DeSantis signed a bill in Florida that gave permission to release grand jury records from Epstein’s 2006 case. He signed it while standing with two of Epstein’s victims. That case ended with Epstein getting only 13 months in jail. He had pleaded guilty to charges involving prostitution and a minor.

During his presidential campaign last year, he promised to let the public see everything.

“Why do we not know about all the stuff with Epstein?” he asked. DeSantis made it clear that he supports full disclosure. “Neither Trump or Biden were willing to [or] are willing to do that. I think that’s important.”

Meanwhile, Trump has been under fire for how his Justice Department handled the case. The FBI and the Department of Justice released a memo saying Epstein had no client list. They also claimed he died by suicide. That did not sit well with the public. Many still believe something was covered up.

Things got even worse after the Wall Street Journal published a story claiming Trump once gave Epstein a birthday drawing of a naked woman. The report caused a lot of anger. Trump denied it and filed a lawsuit against the newspaper.

Voices are growing louder. Lawmakers from both parties are now pushing for the files to come out. Some are even demanding that Trump’s former officials testify about how the case was handled and why it was shut down.

DeSantis is no longer staying silent. Once firmly in Trump’s corner, he’s now backing the public’s demand for full disclosure, echoing what Epstein’s victims have been saying all along.
