It was a surreal afternoon, even by the standards of the Trump White House.
President Donald Trump had an event on Thursday to announce the return of the Presidential Fitness Test. And with him were a group of current and former professional athletes known for their MAGA proclivities, including golfer Bryson DeChambeau, longtime WWE champion Paul “Triple-H” Levesque, Kansas City Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker, golfer Annika Sorenstam, and NFL Hall of Famer Lawrence Taylor, who happens to be a convicted sex offender.
Lawrence Taylor is a registered sex offender stemming from his arrest in 2010 on rape and prostitution charges involving a 16-year-old girl.

The people present are all on the “National Sports Council,” formerly known as the President’s Council on Physical Fitness. Also on the council, per the AP, were several prominent sports figures not present at the event: “retired golfers Jack Nicklaus and Gary Player, former Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo, Philadelphia Eagles running back Saquon Barkley, hockey legend Wayne Gretzky, and Roger Goodell, commissioner of the National Football League.”

Wrestling legend Hulk Hogan, who passed away last week, had said last November that Trump had told him, “‘You know something, you’d be great to run the President’s Council on Physical Fitness.”
The Daily Beast noticed something about the event: While Butker is listed at 6’4,” and Trump is 6’3,” the kicker appears to tower over the president.

Trump also praised Butker as “a handsome guy” and “a good lucking sucker.”
“On Fox News’ live feed, Butker’s head grazed the top edge of the frame, while Trump’s signature coif appeared to sit several inches below. The president was joined by Butker and other athletes—including 6 foot 4 WWE icon Triple H—to announce his executive order bringing back the Presidential Fitness Test to public schools,” the Daily Beast said. “Meanwhile, Vice President J.D. Vance, also in attendance, looked to match up more closely to Trump in height.”
The implication is that Trump isn’t being honest about his height, although athletes’ listed height and weights are often also not accurate, something doubly true of professional wrestlers.
