Rep. Jasmine Crockett just called Trump what many Democrats have only hinted at.
“Listen, Donald Trump is a piece of s–t, OK?” she said to loud cheers. “We know that. Yes, yes! He is, he is!”
The Texas congresswoman made the comment during a speech on Sunday in Phoenix. The event was hosted by MoveOn, a progressive political group. Crockett used the moment to go after Trump, Republicans in Congress, and the Supreme Court.
She said Trump should not be able to get away with what he does, but he does because of who protects him.

“In a functioning democracy, he still would not be able to get away with this,” she said. “He’s been able to get away with this because the House Republicans are complicit. He’s been able to get away with this because Senate Republicans are complicit. But most importantly, the courts—especially the Supreme Court—are complicit!”
Crockett then turned to the lack of accountability in the highest court. She questioned why lower courts have rules while the Supreme Court does not.
“They are the highest court in the land and they have no ethics guardrails,” she said. “Now you go down to the lower courts, and they do. How much sense does that make?”
She went even further. “We know that they’re taking money,” she said. “We have the paper trail. And they refuse to put guardrails on themselves. So it’s time for us to do it for them.”
The crowd cheered again as Crockett continued. She said it was time to stop pretending everything was normal. The problem, she argued, is not just Trump—it’s the system that lets him keep going.
Crockett also warned about what’s happening in her home state. She said Texas Republicans are pushing a redistricting map that could give them up to five more seats in the House. The same map could also remove Crockett from her district.
She called the plan “racist and anti-democratic.” She said the goal was to dilute minority votes and change the balance of power before the 2026 election.
This is not the first time Crockett has gone after Trump. She recently called him a “wannabe Hitler.” But this time, her message was even sharper. She didn’t just attack Trump. She named the people and the institutions she believes are standing in the way of justice.
