Following the latest mas shooting, which led to the death of two children and injuries to many others in Minnesota this week, First Lady Melania Trump expressed her sadness about the situation. And she also shared an idea for how to prevent such tragic events in the future.
Per The Daily Beast, Trump declared on X that “the tragic mass killing in Minnesota illuminates the need for pre-emptive intervention in identifying potential school shooters. Early warning signs are often evident, with many individuals exhibiting concerning behaviors and making violent threats online prior to their actions.”

There were a few reactions to the comments: From people pointing out that keeping an eye on potential mass shooters is not exactly a new idea, to the idea sounding like something involving the “precogs” from the Tom Cruise movie Minority Report, to her demanding the one massive intervention that had nothing to do with guns.

In fact, especially after the Columbine massacre in 1999, it was a common occurrence for students to be accused of being potential school shooters, based on having untraditional or unconventional writing or art.
Melania did not, however, plan the Minneapolis shooting on transgender people as a whole, unlike some other people on the right.
