Greg Abbott Took To Twitter To Bash Biden While Synagogue Hostage Crisis Was On-Going, Took Him Almost 30 Mins To Comment On Situation

This is SO screwed up.

Look, Texas Republican Governor Greg Abbott certainly knows that a synagogue in his state is currently undergoing a heinous hostage crisis, but he’s apparently got more important things to do before he acknowledges the gut-wrenching catastrophe — like bashing President Joe Biden.

Just a couple of hours ago, we reported on the new motive development in the hostage situation that’s currently taking place inside Congregation Beth Israel, where at least four individuals were being held against their will, including a rabbi. According to reporting, it’s believed that the suspect in the Texas synagogue hostage situation is attempting to free Aafia Siddiqui, a former Pakistani scientist who was convicted of trying to kill Americans overseas and is now currently serving an 86-year sentence in a Texas prison.

To say the very least, it’s a pretty damn big deal.

But apparently, not a big enough deal for Governor Abbott to acknowledge the dire hostage crisis before he railed against President Biden on Twitter.

At 11:30 AM the Colleyville Police Department announced on Twitter that there was an active SWAT situation in Colleyville, Texas.

While I’m not personally familiar with the specific protocols surrounding situations such as this, I’m willing to bet that when SWAT gets involved, the governor of the state is notified pretty quickly. But nevertheless, not a word from Abbott at the time.

At 3:30 PM, a tweet was sent from the GOP governor’s account, railing against President Joe Biden’s executive order on police reform.

“Democrat policies to defund and dismantle law enforcement have led to chaos and increased crime,” Abbott’s tweet reads, as the hostage situation was in full swing. “If Biden issues an executive order that hamstrings law enforcement & endangers our communities Texas will destroy it in Court just like the vaccine mandate.”

It was nearly 30 minutes before Abbott acknowledge the hostage situation in his state on his Twitter account.

At 3:57 PM, the governor wrote, “The Texas Dept. of Public Safety is on the scene of the tense hostage situation in Colleyville, Texas. They are working with local and federal teams to achieve the best and safest outcome. I continue to monitor the situation through DPS.”

Priorities, Abbott. Yours are seriously screwed up.
