A Key Watergate Figure Revealed The Massive Legal "Trap" That Trump May Have Accidentally Set For Himself

Former President Donald Trump announced that he had launched class-action lawsuits against Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg and Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey. Trump isn’t taking being deplatformed very well after he incited the deadly Jan. 6 insurrection. And I’m pretty sure Trump knows the lawsuits won’t go anywhere. He immediately started fundraising after the announcement, so there’s that.

John Dean, a key Watergate figure that helped bring down former President Richard Nixon, weighed in to say that Donald Trump just created a huge trap for himself with his latest court filings against Twitter, Facebook, and Google.

Dean was responding to former cable news host Keith Olbermann who tweeted that the lawsuit could result in Trump having to testify about his role in the Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol.

This is the dumbest thing Trump has ever done. It’s wonderful.

Dean tweeted that Trump set himself up.

This should be a nationally televised deposition…. Please schedule it next week. Don’t move to dismiss, which would be the normal move. Make him deal with the trap he created for himself. He will lose on the merits! https://t.co/fg46WsEXKV
