Fulton County Judge Robert McBurney delivered a bombshell ruling this morning when he officially blocked the public release of the full report from the Fulton County, GA, special grand jury’s investigation into the former president and his allies’ efforts to overthrow the 2020 presidential election results in the southern swing state.
But don’t get discouraged quite yet — it’s really not the good news you may think it is for the scandal-ridden former president.
McBurney’s ruling took the side of Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis. Willis has vehemently argued against the public release of the full report, stating that its release to the American public could potentially hinder her ability to bring charges against Donald Trump and his people in the future — a pretty clear indication that things are far from over for Donald Trump with regard to the Fulton County investigation into his alleged crimes. There is clearly more to come.
Lawfare Blog’s Anna Bower analyzed the new ruling and noted that McBurney argued against the public release of the rather mysterious full report, stating that the release could create due process concerns for many of the individuals named in the report. However, multiple outlets have confirmed that a redacted version of the report, which is rapidly gaining infamy among the American public, will be released Thursday, February 16th.

McBurney writes that the special grand jury did fulfill its mandate by providing a “roster of who should (or should not) be indicted, and for what, in relation to the conduct (and aftermath) of the 2020 general election in Georgia.”
Fulton Country District Attorney Fani Willis has been conducting a long-running investigation into the scandal-ridden former president — who is frankly drowning in legal peril from multiple directions right now — as well as some of his closest allies, such as South Carolina Senator Lindsey Graham, for their concerted efforts to tamper with the results of the 2020 presidential election in the state of Georgia, where President Biden was successful in turning the Peach State blue. Namely under scrutiny in the investigation was Donald Trump’s notorious phone call with GA Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger, during which the then-president infamously demanded that Raffensperger “find” the whopping 12,000 votes Donald needed to reclaim the state from Joe Biden.
It is widely anticipated among the American people and numerous legal experts that the evasive special grand jury report will ultimately recommend genuine charges against corrupt former President Donald Trump and/or some of his most notable allies and jockeys in the corrupt election scheme, such as attorney John Eastman. Should that recommendation come to fruition as expected, Willis and her office will then have to appear before a separate grand jury and successfully present their case against the ex-president and his people to be able to officially indict anyone involved.
Suffice it to say, this isn’t a win for Trump World. Far from it, really. In fact, Donald Trump and his closest people should be terrified right about now. Fani Willis is coming for them.
