Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis is fighting tooth and nail against Donald Trump’s devout lackeys in Congress, as a few key Republicans desperately attempt to introduce bills that would dismantle state prosecutors’ power to indict corrupt, powerful people like the scandal-ridden former president — and Trump is absolutely furious about it.
There are now two pieces of state legislation being put on the table in Georgia, where Trump remains under investigation for his attempts to overthrow the results of the 2020 presidential election in the Peach State. One of those measures is meant to install a new oversight board in the state of Georgia that would seek to punish and/or remove prosecutors for a list of reasons that are, at best, vaguely outlined and include things like “willful misconduct.” The second piece of proposed, Trump-protective legislation would serve to cut the number of signatures required to seek a recall of a sitting district attorney from 30 percent to a staggeringly low 2 percent. These measures would effectively allow Republican congress members to dismantle Willis’ entire efforts, including her investigation into Donald Trump and any potential charges to be lodged against him, in one fell swoop — serving to bury her prosecutors under vague punishments and ultimate removal while paving the way for GOPers to remove Willis from her post as DA altogether.
The New York Times described this proposed legislation as one leg of a far more wide-reaching effort by Republican lawmakers across the entire nation to pick apart and destroy any prosecutors in the country that they’ve deemed “too liberal” and, thereby, a threat to their agenda.
Willis is vehemently fighting back against these measures in an effort to protect herself, her investigation, and her prosecutors from what she called a “racist” oversight panel.

The pushback from Willis against the Republican master plan is sending Trump into a fit for the ages.
Taking to his struggling Truth Social account, the washed-up, scandal-ridden former president fumed:
The Racist District Attorney in Atlanta, Fani T. Willis, one of the most dangerous and corrupt cities in the U.S., is now calling the Georgia Legislature, of course, RACIST, because they want to make it easier to remove and replace local rogue prosecutors who are incompetent, racist, or unable to properly do their job. This is a great development for Georgia, but also other parts of the Country. Congratulations to the Georgia Legislature for having the courage to act boldly, fairly, and fast!”
It is widely expected at this point that when it comes to an indictment against Donald Trump in the state of Georgia, it’s only a matter of when now, not if.
At the epicenter of Willis’ ongoing investigation is Donald Trump’s infamous call with Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger — after the 2020 presidential election ballots had already been counted and certified and Joe Biden’s defeat of Trump in the Peach State was already called — all but demanding that the GA official “find the votes” he needed to overthrow Biden’s victory.
Still to this day, Trump maintains that his conversation with Raffensperger was a “perfect call.”
