Inside sources have confirmed that longtime Trump Organization Chief Financial Officier Allen Weisselberg has fired his team of Trump-funded attorneys who are connected to the scandal-ridden, newly-indicted former president’s family company — leaving many legal experts and analysts to wonder if this means Weisselberg will soon turn states evidence on his old boss.
Weisselberg is currently incarcerated in New York’s infamous Riker’s Island jail — an institution infamously known for its unchecked, unfettered violence throughout its halls — where he is serving out his 5 month sentence in connection to the rampant tax fraud and financial crimes he played a large role in within the Trump Organization. Allen’s sentence was significantly reduced thanks to a plea deal he made with prosecutors to basically turn on the Trump Organization. Throughout the trial, Weisselberg vehemently asserted that, while he would turn over evidence and testimony against the ex-president’s family business, he absolutely refused to turn on his old boss, Donald Trump.
However, this bombshell new change in his legal team indicates that Allen Weisselberg has had a serious change of heart with regard to that promise to the former president.
While there’s been no confirmation thus far that Weisselberg has formally turned on Donald Trump, it’s a fair assessment to make, given the history of such a move. We saw almost identical tactics employed by former Trump personal attorney and self-described “fixer,” Michael Cohen, who fired his Trump-funded lawyer just before he turned on the ex-president — whose testimony has now played an insurmountable role in the unprecedented Manhattan indictment. We also saw this same move from former Mark Meadows aide Cassidy Hutchinson, so she could freely testify against Donald Trump before the January 6th House Select Committee.

Precedent has already shown that a move to fire a Trump-funded legal team also guarantees that the former ally of the ex-president is soon to turn on him.
Just recently, we reported on news from the New York Times, confirming that the Manhattan prosecutor’s office was mulling over the possibility of additional charges against Weisselberg, in an attempt to force him to finally flip on his old boss and close personal friend.
MNBC’s Ali Velshi noted that, if ever there were a perfect time for Allen Weisselberg to flip, it’s right now.
“Our colleagues at NBC saying that his attorneys, who are being paid for by the Trump Organization to represent Weisselberg, are no longer representing him,” Velshi reported. “It’s a big deal. That could potentially explain the delay.”
