The drama has swirled around controversial Colorado Republican House Rep. Lauren Boebert in recent weeks, as the firing Right-wing congresswoman publicly and officially announced that she has filed for divorce from her husband, Jayson Boebert, seeking to dissolve their nearly 20-year marriage.
Jayson, who Lauren shares four sons with, has been infamously steeped in his own controversy over the years, ranging from intense fights with their neighbors to the notorious incident in which Jayson pleaded guilty to public indecency and lewd exposure after he allegedly exposed his genitals to two girls at a bowling alley in 2004. But, as the news of the Boebert divorce spreads, multiple reports have begun to uncover a longstanding history of deeply disturbing, dysfunctional, and at some points downright dangerous marriage and home life for the Boebert family. This includes a harrowing 911 call made by one of the Boebert sons on December 11, 2022, that highlights the dysfunction in a truly horrifying way, as the newly released audio recording hears Lauren’s son pleading with the 911 dispatcher to help him as he alleged that his father Jayson was physically abusing him.
Later in the recording, Lauren can be heard getting on the call and asserting to the dispatcher that her son didn’t “need help.”
The horrifying 911 call recording was first released and reported on by Colorado Springs ABC affiliate KRDO-TV, in which Lauren’s son can be heard sobbing as he begs the dispatcher for help. According to the outlet, a woman who sounds like Lauren Boebert eventually gets on the line.

The audio recording hears an obviously distraught and scared child telling a Garfield County dispatcher, “He’s just like throwing me around the house. I don’t know why he got mad. He just started yelling at me, and he started throwing me…. He threw me out of the house, and he’s yelling at me to get away.”
A subsequent 911 call was made, in which the Boebert son sounded significantly calmer as he told the dispatcher, “All I wanted to say is me and my dad were starting to yell at each other. He didn’t really get physical with me; I was just overwhelmed.”
Lauren Boebert took over the call at this point, telling the 911 dispatcher, “Hi, I’m the mom. OK, so there was an argument over dinner. I understand you guys got to come and talk to them. I’m down at our second location.”
Dinner. It seems Lauren Boebert’s son was petrified by his father over an argument… about dinner. God help those children for what goes on behind closed doors.
