Longtime Putin Observer Left Us Terrified After Admitting She Has Never Been More Horrified By One Of The Dictator’s Speeches Than She Was One Of Vladimir Putin’s Public Addresses: “Chilling To The Bone”

Dear God, this makes me sick.

While we certainly take joy in all the reporting of Ukraine’s successes against Russia in the senseless, violent war launched against them, as well as all the reports and analyses indicating that Russian dictatorial President Vladimir Putin is suffering and highly unprepared for the response he’s been hit with by Ukraine and the West, there’s just no denying that at the end of the day, the idea of an unhinged, cornered, failing, and desperate Russian dictator is not one that settles well in the stomach. And rightfully so.

Recently, as the war in Ukraine continues to rage and the dictator appears to become more and more distressed, Vladimir Putin delivered a speech that was heavy with a message indicating that he’s preparing to crack down even harder on internal dissent and defiance in his country of Russia, declaring that he would not allow a “fifth column” within the country to undermine his efforts in the war against Ukraine.

The dictatorial president went on to predict that the country of Russia would soon undergo a “natural and necessary self-purification of society” that he claimed will “only strengthen our country.”

One expert weighed in and warned the world of just how serious this new address from Vladimir Putin really is.

Susan Glasser, a long-time observer of Vladimir Putin with the New Yorker, spoke with CNN’s Jake Tapper and admitted that she could not, in her lifetime, recall a more brutally terrifying speech to come from the mouth of the Russian dictator than this one.

“Jake, in two decades of watching Vladimir Putin, I have never seen a speech that was as chilling to the bone as the speech that he gave yesterday,” Glasser explained. “That was a full-on echo of the worst excesses of Soviet-era totalitarianism. It was a very scary speech to anyone who cares about the fate of the Russian people, because it suggested a kind of purging and self-cleansing, I think, was one of the phrases that he uses.”

She went on to theorize that we will soon see “a full iron curtain descending” over the last few remnants of freedom of expression in the country of Russia.
