A Day After Telling People To Stop Getting Offended, JD Vance Has An Utter Meltdown Over Bidenโ€™s Comment

Can Vance take it?

JD Vance recently got himself into a tricky situation after defending a joke he said people shouldnโ€™t be โ€œso offendedโ€ by. A day later, though, he was outraged when President Joe Biden made a comment aimed at Trump supporters, showing a clear double standard.

It all started when comedian Tony Hinchcliffe made a joke at Trumpโ€™s rally, calling Puerto Rico a โ€œfloating pile of garbage.โ€ Many people thought it was offensive, but Vance brushed it off, saying, โ€œIโ€™m not going to comment on the specifics of the joke, but I think we have to stop getting so offended at every little thing in the United States. Iโ€™m so over it.โ€ In his mind, Americans should just ignore jokes like this.

But Vanceโ€™s tune changed quickly when Biden responded by saying, โ€œThe only garbage I see floating out there is his [Trumpโ€™s] supporters.โ€ Suddenly, Vance was furious, calling Bidenโ€™s comment โ€œdisgusting.โ€ He claimed, โ€œKamala Harris and her boss Joe Biden are attacking half of the country. Thereโ€™s no excuse for this.โ€

Many people noticed the hypocrisy and were quick to call him out. Social media lit up with users sharing Vanceโ€™s original statement and questioning why he wasnโ€™t following his own advice about not being so offended.

This reaction showed the double standard some Republicans often display. Theyโ€™re okay with making jokes or saying bold things themselves, but they get upset when others respond. Itโ€™s like they want everyone to be toughโ€”except when it comes to their own feelings.

Even some Republicans criticized the rally. Fox News commentator Megyn Kelly called the rally โ€œtoo bro-tastic,โ€ saying, โ€œYouโ€™re trying to win an election in which youโ€™re hemorrhaging female voters. Maybeโ€ฆyou clean up the bro talk just a little so you donโ€™t alienate women in the middle of America.โ€ Nikki Haley, another Republican, shared similar concerns, warning that the โ€œbromanceโ€ at the rally could push female voters away.

This incident with Vance shows how some Republicans talk about โ€œfree speechโ€ and not being easily offended, but when the tables turn, they react differently. They seem to only want free speech only for themselves and their supporters, while expecting others to stay silent.

If Vance really believes in โ€œnot getting so offended,โ€ he should have let Bidenโ€™s comment slide. But his strong reaction only proved heโ€™s quick to criticize others without holding himself to the same standard. Americans see this double standard and are getting tired of the โ€œrules for you, not for meโ€ attitude from leaders like Vance
