Dozens of MAGA fans found themselves stranded in a parking lot after their cars were towed away while they were attending a campaign rally for Donald Trump in Charlotte, North Carolina, earlier this week.
The scandal-plagued and felony-convicted former president is back on the campaign trail, holding rallies across the country, just days after he was the target of an assassination attempt that left the top of his right ear grazed at his Pennsylvania event.
Trump appeared at the Bojangles Coliseum, where parking was apparently sparse.
Multiple attendees claimed to have spoken to the manager of a nearby Dunkin’ Donuts, who they said gave them permission to park their cars in the chain coffee shop’s parking lot while they attended the ex-president’s speech.

However, when the speech was finally over and they went to leave, their cars were nowhere to be found.
According to multiple local and national reports, tow trucks showed up and began hauling the MAGA crowd’s cars away as they sat in the Coliseum, listening to their Dear Leader.
Local WIS10 reports that rallygoer Zander DeSoto said, “The managers inside promised that they could park here. Some of the people even gave money to the people inside.”
Nevertheless, those same people had no choice but to pay hundreds to retrieve their cars and get back home, after their vehicles were unceremoniously hauled out of the eatery’s parking lot.
Gotcha Towing, the company that was responsible for hauling the Trump supporters’ cars away, claimed that the Dunkin’ Donuts parking lot featured a clear sign, warning drivers that illegally parked vehicles would be towed off the property.
The company went on to claim that the manager of the Dunkin’ store specifically contacted them to remove the offending vehicles.
Gotcha Towing told WIS10 that the drivers would have to pay $380 to retrieve their vehicles after being towed.
The Trump rally attendees were unsurprisingly unhappy.
“Something very fishy going on here, because I’ve never seen anything like this happen before,” one rallygoer said, while another added that they attempted to go confront the Dunkin’ manager, only to find that store employees had locked the door and would not come out.
“The whole parking lot is gone … everybody,” the Trump rally attendee said. “They locked the doors; they won’t answer our calls and they won’t even answer at the window.”
According to WIS10, “Charlotte-Mecklenburg police ended up responding and shuttled some of the drivers to the towing yard to get their vehicles out.”
