Eddie Gallagher is a retired Navy SEAL who was accused by his fellow SEALS back in 2017 of committing heinous war crimes, earning him a demotion only to subsequently be pardoned by none other than former President Donald Trump. But now, Gallagher is speaking out on it all and, as it turns out, he’s seemingly reporting that he did exactly what he was accused of.
A report from Task & Notice says Gallagher recently made an appearance on a podcast, where he admitted to his guilt, saying he did, in fact, kill an unarmed ISIS fighter back in 2017, but according to him no one cared at the time. In fact, he claims that other members of his unit assisted in the killing and intended for the unarmed individual to die all along.
“The grain of truth in the whole thing is that that ISIS fighter was killed by us and that nobody at that time had a problem with it,” Gallagher said on the podcast. “We killed that guy. Our intention was to kill him. Everybody was on board.”
The retired SEAL was ultimately found not guilty on charges of murdering the 17-year-old ISIS fighter but was charged with the crime of posing with the individual’s dead body for pictures, an offense that ultimately earned his demotion in the Navy.

Trump, of course, intervened in the mess and not only pardoned Gallagher for the crime he was charged with but also forced the restoration of Gallagher’s rank and ordered the Navy to revoke the medals that had been awarded to the team that prosecuted the retired SEAL for his alleged war crimes.
What a deserving individual of a presidential pardon, huh?
