What do world leaders say behind Donald Trump’s back? We got a glimpse of that this week, a meeting of the European Political Community.

According to Politico, the Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama was caught on camera joking with French President Emmanuel Macron and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev about Trump’s slip-up, when he claimed to have forged a peace deal, in which he confused Armenia with Albania.

“You should make an apology … to us because you didn’t congratulate us on the peace deal that President Trump made between Albania and Azerbaijan,” Rama told Macron, per Politico.

“I am sorry for that,” the French president replied.

Trump has claimed that he ended seven wars during his first months back in office, while in most cases, making that claim has required seriously stretching the meanings of both “ended” and “wars.” It’s part of Trump’s oft-repeated desire to win the Nobel Peace Prize.

“I solved wars that was unsolvable. Azerbaijan and Albania, it was going on for many, many years, I had the prime ministers and presidents in my office,” Trump said on Fox News in September. The deal Trump brokered, in fact, was between the leaders of leaders of Armenia and Azerbaijan.

“The two former Soviet republics had been locked in a conflict over Nagorno-Karabakh for almost four decades,” CNN reported about the diplomatic breakthrough. “The breakaway region in the Caucasus Mountains was home to around 120,000 ethnic Armenians and while it is internationally considered as part of Azerbaijan, it was controlled by Armenian separatists since the fall of the Soviet Union.” However, CNN reported that the agreement had not been officially ratified by either country.

In some cases in which Trump has claimed to end wars, the countries were not, technically, ever at war.

“Among the conflicts Trump has claimed to have resolved are wars between Serbia and Kosovo and Egypt and Ethiopia. While there are tensions between those countries, they have not recently gone to war,” Politico said of Trump’s claims.
