As much as we hate it, we are all painfully aware of the fact that so very much happened on that fateful day in January of this year that we will never know the full truth about.
It seems that each and every passing day, some new tidbit of information comes out regarding the infamous January 6th Capitol insurrection that always manages to make your blood curdle and your stomach churn. But whatโs even worse is knowing that, even with all the heinous information we do have, there is so much more underneath it all that we donโt โ and itโs the people who were there, who were involved in that fateful insurrection in some way or another, who are going out of their way to ensure that the American people never see or hear the full truth.
As we all know, it was that dayโs events that ultimately served as the final proverbial straw to break the camelโs back of Donald Trumpโs relationship with his former right-hand man, Mike Pence. The now-ex-president was already angry with his vice president after Pence didnโt follow along with Donaldโs plan to refuse the certification of the Electoral College votes. It seems that Trumpโs building ire with Pence resulted in him pretty much looking the other way as the Capitol rioters set their sights on his guy.
Now, it seems that either Penceโs residual loyalty to his old boss or perhaps his own embarrassment at the dayโs overall events, has led him to contribute to the secrecy surrounding the insurrection.
Recently, ABC Newsโ Jon Karl made an appearance on Stephen Colbert late-night show and revealed that former VP Mike Pence actually had an official White House photographer with him on the day of the insurrection, taking photos as he hunkered down and tried to steer clear of the violent mob that was after him.

โI got a hold of the photographer, I actually saw all of the photographs,โ Karl told Colbert. โThis is the Vice President of the United States, and heโs like holed up in a basement.โ

However, according to Karl, the former Vice President flat-out refused to allow any of those photos to be released to the American public.
Now, being that those photos were taken at the expense of the American taxpayers, theyโre actually public records that any and all of the American people should have access to unless theyโve been deemed a security risk. But nevertheless, Pence seemingly made it his mission to ensure that didnโt happen. And people want to know why:
This should be available for every American to see since we paid for them. Judges tend to overturn priveledge claims whe there is an obvious public interest in the documents or in this case photos

Poor Mikey. He doesnโt want to be seen hiding in an underground garage while his โbossโ was using a rapid mob to threaten his life for carrying out his Constitutional obligation to certify the Electoral College votes. Just the kind of โbossโ people want to work with! ๐ฟโ ๐น๐บ๐๐ท

So if theyโre, โours,โ why do we need his permission to see them?

Why did he need to ask Pence for permission to publish them? Couldnโt he FOIA them? Wouldnโt they be part of the National Archives now?

@January6thCmte American taxpayers paid for the photos.
They belong in the National Archives.
Enter them into the record.โ ๐๐ฅ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ฅ๐๐ ๐๐๐ค๐ฆ๐ง๐๐ฆ๐ค ๐๐ฅ๐ (@PentUpPower) November 9, 2021

Americans are done with the secrets, Pence. Weโre done with all of it.
