As much as we hate it, we are all painfully aware of the fact that so very much happened on that fateful day in January of this year that we will never know the full truth about.

It seems that each and every passing day, some new tidbit of information comes out regarding the infamous January 6th Capitol insurrection that always manages to make your blood curdle and your stomach churn. But what’s even worse is knowing that, even with all the heinous information we do have, there is so much more underneath it all that we don’t — and it’s the people who were there, who were involved in that fateful insurrection in some way or another, who are going out of their way to ensure that the American people never see or hear the full truth.

As we all know, it was that day’s events that ultimately served as the final proverbial straw to break the camel’s back of Donald Trump’s relationship with his former right-hand man, Mike Pence. The now-ex-president was already angry with his vice president after Pence didn’t follow along with Donald’s plan to refuse the certification of the Electoral College votes. It seems that Trump’s building ire with Pence resulted in him pretty much looking the other way as the Capitol rioters set their sights on his guy.

Now, it seems that either Pence’s residual loyalty to his old boss or perhaps his own embarrassment at the day’s overall events, has led him to contribute to the secrecy surrounding the insurrection.

Recently, ABC News’ Jon Karl made an appearance on Stephen Colbert late-night show and revealed that former VP Mike Pence actually had an official White House photographer with him on the day of the insurrection, taking photos as he hunkered down and tried to steer clear of the violent mob that was after him.

“I got a hold of the photographer, I actually saw all of the photographs,” Karl told Colbert. “This is the Vice President of the United States, and he’s like holed up in a basement.”

However, according to Karl, the former Vice President flat-out refused to allow any of those photos to be released to the American public.

Now, being that those photos were taken at the expense of the American taxpayers, they’re actually public records that any and all of the American people should have access to unless they’ve been deemed a security risk. But nevertheless, Pence seemingly made it his mission to ensure that didn’t happen. And people want to know why:

Americans are done with the secrets, Pence. We’re done with all of it.
