Amy Klobuchar Just Shut Down Ted Cruz And His Entire Performance At SCOTUS Hearing With Just One Sentence

Take a seat, Ted Cruz.

As we speak, the SCOTUS confirmation hearing is underway and it’s every bit as disastrous as we expected it to be. Whether it’s Senator Mike Lee who was recently diagnosed with coronavirus and hasn’t worn a mask through the whole thing or Senator Lindsey Graham who refused to even be tested, the Republicans have made complete asses of themselves at every turn. But perhaps the worst of the GOP monsters was Senator Ted Cruz, who seemed to be far more focused on Joe Biden’s faith and religion than the hearing at hand.

Cruz spoke for a miserable half hour and seemed to spend more time questioning Democratic nominee Joe Biden than he did Barrett, despite the fact that the hearing is supposed to be about her confirmation. I’m sure Senator Cruz was internally beaming with pride over his painfully long monologue that Trump is most assuredly proud of, but former Democratic presidential candidate, Senator Amy Klobuchar stole his thunder and shut him down in one short, simple sentence.

Following Cruz, Klobuchar began her turn to speak with this: “I did want to make one thing clear after listening to that for a half-hour, that Joe Biden is Catholic, and he is a man of faith.”

Take a look:

I’m sure Republicans expected today to be smooth sailing as they push through this unfair and disgusting confirmation of Trump’s SCOTUS pick. But Democrats are making it clear that they do not plan on making it easy on them.
