Ana Navarro Slams Melania’s Shameless Grifting: ‘Only Time She Shows Her Face Is To Extract Money From Poor Suckers’

Commentator Ana Navarro went off this week on Melania Trump's need to "extract money from poor suckers."

Donald Trump and his family members like to sell stuff, and that’s not a habit that’s gone away with their entrance into politics. The former president, even while running again, hasn’t been shy about selling products, whether it’s silver coins, virtual ones, or a book of presidential photographs, which, unlike every other book of its kind, is decorated with Trump’s name, rather than that of the photographer.

This habit has extended to former First Lady Melania Trump, who has a new memoir coming out just weeks before the start of the presidential campaign. However, as pointed out this week in an Instagram post by Ana Navarro, the Republican political strategist-turned-anti-Trump commentator, that’s not all Melania is selling.

As pointed out by Navarro, Melania’s current projects also include an expensive necklace and an April appearance where she was paid the unusually large fee of $237,500 to speak to the Log Cabin Republicans, a group of gay Republicans. Per CNN, it’s unclear who financed that speaking fee, as the Log Cabin Republicans say they did not put up the money themselves.

“Basically, only time Melania shows her face is to extract money from poor suckers,” Navarro writes.

“What’s she gonna sell next…nipple-rings? This woman should be First Lady of Home Shopping Network,” Navarro says, while praising the Second Gentleman, Doug Emhoff, for “working his little heart out for free because he loves his wife and his country.”

Navarro had made similar, though briefer comments on X earlier:

Business Insider reported this week that while the ex-First Lady has been all over social media promoting her book and other products, she has mostly avoided the campaign trail and has not been giving television interviews. While she appeared at the Republican National Convention, she did not give a speech, as is usually the custom for the spouse of the nominee. Doug Emhoff, on the other hand, has been a much more frequent presence during the campaign.
