**UPDATE** A spokesperson for Donald Trump Jr., Andy Surabian, has since denied the following claims in a statement to the New York Times. Surabian described the following claims as “100 percent false. Don does not have these concerns.”

Look, we all know damn good and well why Donald Trump and his entire family are going to whatever lengths they deem necessary to prevent a loss and secure a second term for Donald come November. In former Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s final report for his Russia investigation, he clearly noted that Donald Trump could not be prosecuted thanks to a long-standing policy within the U.S. Department of Justice that prevents them from prosecuting a sitting president.

HOWEVER.

If Joe Biden wins the impending election, as polls are predicting, Trump will be enjoying his last days of such protections in just a few short months and several different entities are already biding their time to slap Donnie with a slew of charges — some of which will no doubt take his spawns down with him.

And according to a report from The New York Times’ Jason Zengerle, Donald’s eldest son and namesake is shaking in his boots at the very real prospect of prosecutions for the whole family if his dad does ultimately lose to Biden in just a few weeks.

The article penned by Zengerle takes a deep dive into Donald Trump Jr.’s role in his father’s bid for reelection and goes on to reveal that an anonymous source, described by Zengerle as a “prominent conservative activist”, claims “Don’s the only person who thinks they’re going to lose. He’s like, ‘We’re losing, dude, and we’re going to get really hurt when we lose.'”

Zengerle says that Junior is referring to criminal prosecutions when he says it’s going to “really hurt.”

He reports, “An electoral defeat in November, Trump Jr. fears, could result in federal prosecutions of Trump, his family, and his political allies. He has told the conservative activist that he expects that a Biden administration will not participate in a ‘peaceful transition’ and instead, will ‘shoot the prisoners.'”

Zengerle’s piece goes on to take a deeper dive into just how Junior got to where he is today. But in the end, it sounds to me as though even Junior himself knows that the Trump family’s days are numbered.
