There for a moment, Americans really started to believe that we’d seen the last of the dreadful “Javanka” couple after Donald Trump was unceremoniously booted out of the White House by the American people and proceeded to make an ass of epic proportions out of himself, leading his eldest daughter Ivanka and her husband, Jared attempting to eek themselves out of Daddy Donald’s line of public fire, despite playing such a disturbingly and questionably huge role in his presidential administration.
However, one analyst is sounding off a red alert alarm, warning that Jared and Ivanka are far from finished with their celebrity x politics cross-up aspirations.
In a new opinion piece for The Guardian, columnist Arwa Mahdawi warns, “While ‘Javanka’ kept their distance from the former president during Trump’s lows, there are signs Ivanka might be thinking of coming out of political retirement. The Ivank-a-Meter is flashing red.”
Mahdawi draws an unsettling connection between Ivanka’s suddenly reignited political aspirations and her father’s heated campaign to reclaim the White House and all the powers that come with it in the 2024 presidential election that is just around the corner now.

Of course, there’s no denying that Ivanka’s father is facing an uphill battle in this campaign and election — with a dwindling war chest thanks to his enormous and ever-mounting legal fees combined with a historic and unprecedented four criminal indictments lodged against him, including charges of election interference and violations of the Espionage Act. However, Donald Trump is still managing to poll quite well in key states and it seems his daughter and son-in-law know that.
Mahdawi makes it clear that she couldn’t possibly lodge a viable prediction of November’s election night but makes it clear that this particular political power couple has already won the game either way.
“Both Ivanka and her husband, Jared Kushner, always seem to know which way the wind is blowing: the pair made out like bandits when they were unelected members of the Trump administration,” she writes.
“Then, when it felt like the grift may be up, the Saudis gave Kushner billions to invest.”
With her husband digging deep into financial gains, Mahdawi notes that Ivanka is showing clear signs of reinvigorating her political plight as she begins to make appearances alongside her scandal-plagued father again and seems to be “warming to the idea of trying to be helpful again.”
“While it’s certainly not a done deal that the US will see a President Trump again, if we do then you can expect the reign to be long,” the Guardian columnist writes before adding the most horrifying line of all:
Trump recently floated the idea of a third term if he wins in November, and it is rumored that Ivanka has harbored dreams of being the first female president.”
