President Donald Trump, in his second presidency, has drawn a lot of attention for White House decorating choices, whether it’s an obnoxious amount of gold accents throughout the Oval Office, or moving around portraits of Barack Obama and his other adversaries, or the addition of a kitschy portrait of himself decorated by the American flag. South Park, in its skewering of Trump earlier this month, made fun of the portrait obsession.
Trump also got into a fight over a portrait of him in a gallery of presidents at the Colorado state capitol, even after the painting had been hanging there for six years.
This week, another portrait of Trump, added to the White House, has surfaced, after it was shared on X by Sebastian Gorka, the MAGA gadfly-turned-Deputy Assistant to the President, Senior Director for Counter Terrorism for the National Security Council.

Per Buzzfeed, the new painting is “being interpreted in wildly different ways.”
Per The Independent, “artist Vanessa Horabuena was behind the painting, which is hanging in the West Wing between Lower and Upper Press Offices.” Her website describes her as “a talented Christian worship painter who uses her art to glorify God and inspire others.”
Once the painting surfaced, a lot of social media users had thoughts on the latest bit of artwork.
