If there’s one thing I can say about billionaires it’s this: They can smell money 10 miles away. Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates recently had an “intriguing” three-hour-dinner with President-elect Donald Trump and said he was “frankly impressed” by their get-together.
I don’t know if Gates is aware that Trump tries to shmooze anyone with a sizable amount of money. That would be Gates, who, according to Forbes, has a net worth of $106 Billion. The man bleeds money. With that being the case, you’d think he’d be more intelligent than this.
Instead, he has stars in his eyes.
“I had a chance, about two weeks ago, to go have a long and actually quite intriguing dinner with him,” Gates told The Wall Street Journal. Gates, 69, claimed much of their “wide-ranging” dinner table chat surrounded global health challenges.

“I felt like he was energized and looking forward to helping to drive innovation,” he said of Trump, 78. “I was frankly impressed with how well he showed a lot of interest in the issues I brought up.”
Well, yeah, he showed interest because he wants Gates’s money. There’s nothing anyone can say that will convince me any differently.
“The four of us sat there, and it was quite wide-ranging,” Gates said of the get-together.
“I spoke a lot about HIV and that [The Gates] Foundation is literally working on a cure for that. We’re at an early stage, and so he in the COVID days, accelerated the vaccine innovation,” Gates said. Yeah, after promoting dumb and dangerous cures like hydroxychloroquine and perhaps bleach. Oh, and he sat with his thumb up his, well you know, before he finally did anything about it.
“So I was asking him if maybe the same kind of thing could be done here. And we both got, I think, pretty excited about that,” Gates told WSJ’s Editor-in-Chief Emma Tucker. Does Gates not understand that Trump is “excited” because he smells money? I’m sorry, but this man doesn’t have a shred of decency in his entire body. He’d sell his kids if he thought it would bring in some money.
“We talked about polio where we’re very close to getting that done, but if you stop, it’ll spread back,” Gates continued. “And he was fascinated to hear what he could do to maximize the chance that during the next four years that incredible milestone will be achieved.”
Yeah, I’m sure he was.
And, according to The New York Post, Trump posted rather cryptically on Truth Social, making mention of Gates request to visit him at Mar-a-Lago. This has, of course, made people wonder if this was aimed at fellow billionaire Elon Musk.
“Where are you? When are you coming to the ‘Center of the Universe,’ Mar-a-Lago. Bill Gates asked to come, tonight. We miss you and x! New Year’s Eve is going to be AMAZING!!! DJT,” the incoming president wrote.
The Post reports that it’s unclear where or when the Gates-Trump dinner occurred.
Gates also met with Trump in 2016 before his first term in office, and while he’s the latest cash cow to do so, others like Amazon’s Jeff Bezos and Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg also traveled to Mar-a-Lago recently in the wake of his 2024 election win.
I wonder how long it will take before these men realize they have been bamboozled. Or are they grinning about the deals they will make while Americans are being treated like fatted calves?
