Looks like a whole new Trump

Over the weekend, Trump met with former UK Prime Minister Liz Truss at his Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida. Truss shared a smiling picture of them together and wrote, “Right about everything. @realDonaldTrump.”

Trump stood next to her in a red polo shirt and a white USA cap, giving a thumbs-up. In the photo, the president looked much paler than usual. His well-known orange-toned complexion seemed to be missing.

For years, Trump’s tan has been a regular topic of discussion, especially during campaign rallies and televised speeches, but this time his lighter look stood out and people on social media had plenty to say about it.

The photo was reportedly taken at Mar-a-Lago, where Trump and Melania Trump spent Valentine’s weekend. It was a relaxed setting, and Trump appeared dressed for golf rather than a formal event.

This isn’t the first change in his appearance. Earlier this month, Trump attended the wedding of White House Deputy Chief of Staff Dan Scavino and Erin Elmore. In pictures from that event, he also appeared noticeably lighter than usual.

Back in 2019, a senior administration official told The New York Times that Trump’s skin tone was due to “good genes” and only a light dusting of translucent powder before going on camera.

Still, many remain skeptical.

French makeup artist Audrey Lefevre, who worked with the Trump family during the 2017 inauguration, previously shared her view on the matter. “I don’t think President Trump wears a lot of makeup all the time, because I don’t think he likes that,” she said.

“Obviously, for TV you have to, it’s kind of mandatory. But it’s mostly a spray tan in my opinion,” Lefevre added.

She continued, “As a makeup artist, this is my opinion because we can see otherwise on his hairline, he’s very fair-skinned, very blond, very fair-skinned.”

Lefevre also speculated on the reason behind the bronzed look. “Maybe to hide some skin issues or something like that but it’s now makeup this orange situation.”
