The Daily Beast’s Jose Pagliery broke a new report on the seemingly neverending corruption, scandal, and peril that seems to follow the Trump legal team like a dark, rainy cloud. The entire piece was rather… Telling, to say the very least and paints a grim picture when it comes to the crumbling pieces of legal defense that former President Donald Trump has left these days, as his attorneys continue to run into judges who are dismantling their weak arguments and defenses like a kid in a candy store, in a series of brutally blistering rulings against the big guy.
But buried within that report was one key piece of new information about one infamous Trump attorney, in particular, who is apparently skating on thin ice as she’s landed herself in “judge’s sights” thanks to her outbursts in the courtroom, and earned herself a lot of scorn from her fellow Trump legal team colleagues.
Pagliery reports that Trump’s entire team of attorneys has found itself repeatedly shot down by judges who have labeled their tactics “frivolous,” but it’s attorney Alina Habba who’s in the hottest seat, not only due to her incessant time-wasting motions, but because of her childish, immature, and blatantly inappropriate behavior in the courtroom.
Back in March, the Beast reported that Habba is quite unpopular within the Trump legal team, with one of them reportedly telling the publication, “‘What the f— is she doing?’ is probably the most common question we asked about her.”

Last September, infamous former Trump attorney and self-described “fixer” Michael Cohen weighed in, saying, “Alina is possibly the last lawyer on the planet that should be out there right now defending this grotesque possession of national security secrets at Mar-a-Lago.”
According to the report, Habba has been dramatically grandstanding in front of the courts in an attempt to appease her client who prefers combative representation, but her antics are beginning to not only wear down her colleagues but may end up costing her big with Justice Arthur F. Engoron.
The report reads:
On Wednesday, he cautioned Trump’s lawyers to stop putting forth the same rejected arguments in an email that warned he was ‘considering imposing sanctions for frivolous litigation.’
Habba in particular has found herself in this judge’s sights, after repeatedly trading barbs with him in court in a manner rarely seen in the profession—frequently interrupting him on the bench, accusing him of unfairly siding against the former president, and making snide remarks about his law clerk.
It’s gotten so heated at times that her own colleagues on Trump’s legal team have quietly criticized her for putting on a show better fitted for nighttime cable news programs than the courtroom. (She has since become one of Trump’s attack dogs on right-wing TV channels like Newsmax and One America News Network.)”
New York University law school professor Stephen Gillers further noted that Habba is quite literally putting her career on the line with this sort of behavior.
“The lawyers have to worry not only about monetary sanctions, which may not be as much of a worry, but also court discipline that can lead to a public censure, license suspension or disbarment,” Gillers explained.
