Critics Are Furious After Trump Reveals His Plans For The Rose Garden

Not a great look. Why fix what’s not broken?

Trump reassured Ingraham that the roses would stay, but the grass in the center would be replaced with a hard surface. He compared it to the patio at his Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida.

“The roses stay. No, it’s a rose garden. No. All of this stays. Just the center section [of grass will be paved over]. I think it’s gonna be beautiful. I think it’s gonna be more beautiful,” he said.

But not everyone agrees.

People quickly took to social media to criticize Trump’s latest renovation. Many saw it as a perfect symbol of his presidency—destroying something meaningful and replacing it with something lifeless. Some even compared it to how he treats the country, calling it a “dead zone.”

Well Trump is apparently paving paradise to put up a parking lot in the Rose Garden!

Some even pointed out that Melania had already ruined the Rose Garden during her time as First Lady, and now Trump was finishing the job.

Melania already turned the Rose Garden into the Morose Garden. Now Trump wants to turn it into a parking lot.

Trump has always loved flashy changes. This isn’t the first time he has made a design choice that got people talking. His Trump Tower is covered in gold, which many people find tacky and outdated. In 2018, Trump redesigned Air Force One, replacing its classic blue-and-white look with a darker red, white, and navy design. In 2019, he installed gold-trimmed curtains in the Oval Office and replaced furniture with flashy Louis XIV-style pieces, giving the room a look that some compared to a luxury hotel lobby rather than the White House.

Now, he’s making changes to the Rose Garden again. Some argue that paving over the grass will make events easier to manage, preventing mud and uneven ground issues. Others believe it diminishes the space’s natural beauty and historic charm. Trump, however, insists it will be “more beautiful.”
