Dem Lawmaker Who Sat Next To MTG Spilled The Tea On What Greene Was “Muttering” During Biden Address

I've been waiting for this tea!

In true MTG fashion, the controversial Georgia Republican House Rep. made the ass we all expected out of herself during President Biden’s State of the Union address — the same way she has for all the others.

But this time, we got a real treat in the form of hot tea on what exactly it was Greene was carrying on about all night from the Democratic lawmaker who had the unfortunate displease of sitting next to Greene throughout the event.

Wisconsin Democratic lawmaker Rep. Gwen Moore appeared on MSNBC’s The Weekend after being seated next to Marjorie Taylor Greene through President Joe Biden’s entire SOTU speech and wasted no time in dishing all the details on Greene’s antics from the evening — including the outlandish nonsense Marjorie was talking to herself about all night.

Moore says she took the seat beside Greene because she arrived late to the event and didn’t want to stand the entire evening, despite being told that the seat was open because no one wanted to sit next to the batshit crazy Georgia Republican.

“I thought I would just ignore her but I couldn’t, you know?” Rep. Moore said when the MSNBC panel began to press her about the overall experience. “I was fact-checking her in real-time.”

Eventually, the hosts started to ask Moore for specific examples: “I was trying to draw — bring out some empathy and to see if she had any, you know, and to recognize that, you know, instead of spending all of our time, you know, being surprised and shocked at Donald Trump having these supporters to try to listen to them.”

“For example, this is a really good example,” Moore continued. “When he [Biden] talked about Bettie May Fikes, who I have met on the march to Selma to the Edmund Pettus Bridge when he talked about her being there and voting rights and John Lewis. She said, ‘1965?’ She was really truly surprised, I think. ‘Nobody is having their — being prevented from voting.’ Now, that was 1965. I said ‘no girl, they tried to take my vote from me,’ because I voted and used a drop box in the last election.'”

She went on to add that Greene grew more and more unhinged as President Biden began to talk about COVID-19.

“She was muttering about how we shuttered businesses and so forth during Covid,” Moore recalled. “I said, ‘Girl, well, Covid was a real thing. My eldest son almost died from Covid and was in the hospital on a ventilator for a week.”
