Democrats Brilliantly Troll Trump With Savage Messages Projected Across His Chicago Hotel Ahead of DNC

Democrats use a clever technique to troll the Trump-Vance campaign.

When it was reported that “Project 2025” was, ahem, projected onto the side of Trump Tower in Chicago, it appeared at first glance that MAGA loyalists were trolling the 2024 Democratic National Convention (DNC).

Donald Trump initially denied any involvement. But as we’ve learned over the past few years, this fits perfectly into his loyalists’ playbook, a strategy they intend to implement if he regains office. So why not project it on the side of his building? Deny it, then concoct a conspiracy ā€” the usual approach.

However, Abhi Rahman, who was also tweeting images, confirmed to Rolling Stone that Democrats were behind the stunt. They booked a room across from the building and used a high-powered projector to display not only “Project 2025” but other pointed taunts as well.

Newsweek reached out to the Trump campaign and organization but received no response.

Much of the controversy around “Project 2025” stems from its agenda to dismantle multiple U.S. government agencies, mass firings of federal staff, and consolidating power in the hands of Donald Trump. Critics say it reflects a dark vision of the future under Trumpā€™s rule.

Many who commented on the tweet sided with the Trump campaign, accusing Democrats of “projecting” ā€” both literally and figuratively ā€” and claiming that Trump’s association with “Project 2025” has been debunked, stating it’s not even part of his campaign platform.

As for some of the other taunts, last month Kamala Harris’ running mate, Tim Walz, referred to the Trump and Vance campaign as “weird.” But perhaps the most painful jab for Trump’s supporters was the projection of “Harris Walz Joy and Hope.”
