Back in March, Barron Trump was spotted in New York wearing a Rolex said to cost almost $50,000. The sight surprised many who realized Donald Trump’s youngest son is no longer the quiet boy in the background but a tall and private young man who rarely steps into the spotlight.
Now there is a new twist. A source says the 19-year-old, who studies at NYU’s program in Washington, recently brought a crush to Trump Tower in New York. At first, the choice of venue sounded bold, but the insider said it was simply for safety.
According to the source, the visit was no ordinary date. “An entire floor was shut down for him to have the romantic meet up,” the source said. That kind of security might feel awkward to most college students, but it seems to be part of Barron’s routine.
Barron, who stands at 6’7, has always attracted attention. A fellow NYU student once told People magazine, “He’s a ladies’ man for sure. He’s really popular with the ladies. He’s tall and handsome. A lot of people seem to think he’s pretty attractive.”

Still, he is hard to reach. Friends say he rarely shares his phone number because of security concerns. Instead, as one insider put it, “It’s his work around. It’s his communication platform of choice.” That platform is not a secret chat app for the rich and famous, but the voice chat feature on his Xbox gaming console.
The insider explained why. “If people get the number, they would give it out and then a million people would be calling nonstop. You’d have to change the number constantly and it would become a merry go round,” they said.
Despite the challenges of fame and attention, Barron seems to take it in stride. “It’s gamer bro culture, they ask each other for their gamer tag. He knows the people,” the source added.
Barron recently moved from New York back to Washington to attend NYU’s D.C. campus. A campus security officer in New York confirmed the change, saying, “From what I was told, he’s doing a semester at another NYU campus.”
The move has not cooled public curiosity about his life. Reports continue to describe him as quiet but popular among his peers, and his occasional public appearances still spark interest.
The Trump family has had to swat away some rumors about Barron too. In May, Melania Trump denied claims that he had been rejected by Harvard, saying, “Barron did not apply to Harvard, and any assertion that he, or that anyone on his behalf, applied is completely false.”
