Donald Trump didn’t miss a beat at the White House Greek Independence Day event. Amid the speeches and celebrations, he revealed a personal detail about his son Donald Trump Jr.’s ex-fiancée, Kimberly Guilfoyle.
He shared the nickname he uses for her: “Kimber-lay.” “I love calling her Kimber-lay. That’s my little pet name, right?” Trump said, drawing smiles from the audience.
He then highlighted the depth of his friendship with Guilfoyle. “She’s an inspiration to a lot of people, especially if you happen to be Greek,” he said. “Kimber-lay Guilfoyle has been my friend for a long time.”
The president also praised her work as the U.S. ambassador to Greece. “But you are the greatest. And I heard they love you over there,” he added, before joking about her return to the U.S.: “I hope you come back here in 12 years or whatever the term ends.”

Despite their breakup in December 2024 after six years together, Don Jr. and Guilfoyle reportedly remain on good terms. The split was “not a contentious thing,” sources said, and the Trump family “still [remains] enamored with her.”
Guilfoyle has a long history with the Trump family. She knew Donald Trump before meeting his son. “Even before she and Don were together, she was close with the family. She knew Donald before she knew Don Jr., and that connection is strong. So nothing has changed,” a source revealed.
Her political role is relatively new. She was confirmed as U.S. ambassador to Greece in late 2025 and has been adjusting to life abroad. She’s already sought guidance from Trump while navigating her position.
Guilfoyle also has experience supporting Trump during the 2024 elections and spent over a decade at Fox News. Her previous marriage to Newsom ran from 2001 to 2006, and she was engaged to Don Jr. in 2020 before his current engagement to Bettina Anderson in December 2025.
