Donald Trump spent several days heavily embroiled in the massive civil rape and defamation lawsuit lodged against him in New York by world-renowned author and advice columnist E. Jean Carroll — who has publicly accused the now-former president of brutally raping her in the dressing room of a Manhattan department store in the 1990s. At one point, the former president even made a grand declaration when speaking to reporters who had assembled at his golf course in Ireland, where he raged about having to leave Ireland and Scotland earlier than he intended to travel back to New York where he claimed he planned to “confront” his rape accuser, E. Jean Carroll, who he openly referred to as a “disgrace,” as well as “extremely hostile” Judge Lewis Kaplan… Something he didn’t actually follow through with in the end.

But that monumental case has come to a close, as multiple news outlets confirmed that, following only a few short hours of deliberation, the jury on the trial came to a final verdict.

Former United States President Donald J. Trump was found liable for sexual battery and defamation against E. Jean Carroll.

ABC News reported on the bombshell news, “The jury awarded Carroll a total of $5 million in the lawsuit. Jury members found that Trump did not rape Carroll but sexually abused her, and awarded damages of $2 million in compensatory damages and $20,000 in punitive damages for battery.”

“The jury awarded $1 million in damages, $1.7 million for reputation repair, and $280,000 in punitive damages, for defamation.”

We knew it would only be a matter of time before Trump responded to the verdict with what would likely be one of the biggest blowups we’ve seen from him to date.

We were correct in that expectation.

In the direct aftermath of the historic verdict in the assault and defamation case, the former president scrambled to his Truth Social platform, where he penned a short, but absolutely livid response to his court loss:

Trump has already vowed to “appeal the Unconstitutional silencing of me … no matter the outcome!” even before the verdict went public.

But might I remind you that, for a woman he claims to have never even met, it’s quite ironic that he mistook her for his own ex-wife.
