Donald Trump went on a harsh attack against Kamala Harris on Wednesday. He called the former vice president “DUMB AS A ROCK” after she claimed the 2024 election was the “closest” of the 21st century. Trump said her statement is false and expects an apology.
Trump posted on Truth Social, saying, “Everyone knows this is a lie.” He accused Harris of spreading misinformation while promoting her new book. He also reminded everyone that he won the election in a “LANDSLIDE” and beat her in key swing states like Arizona and Michigan.
Trump mentioned California’s mail-in ballot system, calling it “RIGGED,” but said he still won easily. His post was full of insults, showing that he is still willing to attack opponents personally rather than just argue facts.

The rant followed Harris’s interview on MSNBC, where she said she lost the “closest presidential election in the 21st Century.” Host Rachel Maddow did not challenge the statement. Even so, independent analysis confirms that her statement reflects the perspective of voters in key states.
Trump’s claim of a “landslide” in the 2024 election does not match the facts. He won 312 electoral votes to Harris’s 226, but the margins in important swing states were very small. Wisconsin went to Trump by just 0.9 %, Michigan by 1.4 %, and Pennsylvania, the tipping-point state, by 1.7 %.
The national popular vote also shows a tight race. Trump got 49.81 %, while Harris earned 48.34 %, a difference of only 1.47 %. These numbers highlight how competitive the election really was, contradicting the “landslide” claim.
Harris was not the only candidate to experience a tight race in the popular vote, but Trump’s post exaggerates his own victory. Experts note that elections are decided by both the popular vote and the Electoral College. Trump conveniently leaves out context when attacking Harris.
Looking at tipping point states, the states that determine a candidate’s path to victory, the 2024 race was competitive. Harris was basically highlighting how close the 2024 election was in key states that decided the outcome, not trying to exaggerate her loss.
