It’s certainly been no secret that disgraced former President Donald Trump holds a hefty amount of disdain for his former right-hand man and Vice President, Mike Pence, after Pence frankly surprised us all when he outright refused to help his old boss overthrow the results of the 2020 presidential election. Trump was out and out desperate to use his VP as a last-ditch resort, prodding and essentially demanding that he refuse to certify the Electoral College votes in Joe Biden’s favor — something Pence said was illegal and refused to do, ultimately playing a part in the development of the January 6th Capitol riot.
If you thought Trump would eventually “get over” his grudge with Pence, I’ve got some beachfront property in Arizona that you would just love. However, it looks like that beef is likely to get a whole hell of a lot worse, real soon, thanks to some new reporting from Axios.
According to the Axios report, Mike Pence is gearing up to run for the White House in 2024 — Donald Trump be damned.
The publication notes that Donald has been telling pretty much anyone who would listen that he plans to take a third stab at the presidency when the next presidential election rolls around and has been keeping a very close eye on those who may dare to challenge him.

Apparently, one of those people is none other than his own former Vice President.
“Trump’s most likely opponent is Pence, who — I’m told — has no plans to defer to his former boss,” Axios co-founder Mike Allen writes.
The ex-president is reportedly keeping a watchful eye on the likes of Pence, as well as Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, and his former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo.
“Trumpworld is more uncertain about Pence, who has been quiet about his intentions but maintains a strong and loyal team around him,” Allen explains.
Another potential Trump challenger, Nikki Haley, has made it clear that she will not run for the White House in 2024 if Donald Trump does, and many others have indicated that they will make the same promise, so as not to challenge the GOP’s golden child.
However, according to Allen, “Pence has notably not made any such declaration. And you know who’s noticed? Donald J. Trump.”
I can only imagine this will go over like a ton of bricks once it’s all said and done.
