Scandal-ridden former President Trump kicked off Presidents Day in the US the only way he knows how — with a self-absorbed, egotistical, downright narcissistic post about himself.
But this time, it appeared to come with a rather dark, ominous twist.
“HAPPY PRESIDENTS DAY!” Trump wrote in a post on his struggling Truth Social platform. “This is a time, perhaps more so than at any time in our Country’s history, that we need GREATNESS in the position of President. Does anybody believe that we have that now? I don’t think so.”
The first half was little more than the typical “Love me, hate Biden” trope we’ve come to know, expect, and absolutely loathe over the last two years. But the former guy put an especially disturbing twist on it when he added, in all caps and complete with not one, not two, but three exclamation points, “WE ARE A NATION IN SERIOUS DECLINE, & WE MUST MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN, & FAST, BEFORE IT IS TOO LATE!!!”

Trump is set to spend his Presidents Day evening trying to breathe some life into his struggling 2024 presidential campaign, as he rallies his supporters together for a speech in Palm Beach this evening. Local WPTV reports, “This will be one of his first speaking engagements in Florida since he launched his presidential bid at Mar-a-Lago in November.”
“Trump will address Club 45, a nonprofit fan club that wants to see him back as commander-in-chief, at the Hilton Palm Beach Airport hotel at 7 p.m.”
The speech comes amid mounting legal pressure from every conceivable direction, as multiple lawsuits and investigations into the scandal-ridden former president continue to heat up all around him. Frankly, at the rate he’s going, Trump will see 2024 come and go from behind prison bars.
