At a recent public event, Donald Trump gave photographers an unexpected instruction. He looked toward the cameras and made a blunt request about his appearance.
“Make me look thin for once, you’re making me look a bit heavy,” Trump said.

The comment was brief, but it did not go unnoticed.
Omg that’s his biggest concern, he needs to look in the mirror. Who’s the piggy? He has paint varnish on his face; he’s also a reckless fascist thug! A threat to global security!

Before making the comment about his appearance, Trump shifted gears, scanning the room and calling out a familiar name from the press pool. He singled out New York Times photographer Doug Mills and began praising him loudly.
“Pulitzer Prize! Pulitzer Prize! He got one for the bullet,” Trump said, referencing Mills’ award winning photo.
He followed that praise with a sharp contrast.
“I don’t like the people back there as much,” Trump added, gesturing toward other journalists.
This was not the first time Trump has complained about how he looks in photos. Last year, he erupted over a low angle image published by TIME magazine. He said the photo made his hair look strange and accused the outlet of making him look bad on purpose.
“They ‘disappeared’ my hair, and then had something floating on top of my head that looked like a floating crown, but an extremely small one,” Trump wrote at the time.
“Really weird! I never liked taking pictures from underneath angles, but this is a super bad picture and deserves to be called out,” he added.
That outburst now reads like a preview.
