Donald Trump Went Full-Blown Martyr In A Guilt-Trip-Filled Faith Conference Speech: “I’m Being Indicted For You!”

Yea. He officially went there.

History has been made in the United States of America over the course of just a few weeks, as former President Donald J. Trump was formally indicted on both a state and federal level — on charges of illegal hush-money payments in the Manhattan DA’s case and charges related to obstruction and multiple violations of the Espionage Act in the DOJ Special Counsel Jack Smith’s federal stolen document case — serving as the very first time in US history that either a sitting or a former American president has been formally indicted and charged with any crimes.

And there’s still more to come…

Throughout this entire massive scandal, Trump has vehemently maintained his innocence while doing his damndest to paint himself as a patriot, an innocent victim of a political witchhunt, and now, apparently, a martyr for his people.

Recently, Trump gave a speech before the Faith & Freedom Coalition and held absolutely nothing back when it came to the portion of his speech where he whined and cried about all the political persecution he’s subjected to.

“Every time the radical left Democrats, Marxists, communists, and fascists indict me, I consider it a great badge of courage,” the disgraced former president declared from the stage, prompting the Koolaide-drinking audience to break out into a round of applause for their Dear Leader. “I’m being indicted for you! And I believe the ‘you’ is more than 200 million people that love our country. This is a continuation of the greatest witch hunt of all times.”

Of course, the big guy used this opportunity to shift gears into his tired-out lies and conspiracy theories about his 2020 “rigged” election loss before once again turning back to his document scandal that’s now earned him 37 federal charges, claiming once again that he was well within his right to take literal government secrets to his shitty golf resort and then refuse to give them back to federal authorities, before trying and failing to draw any semblance of a parallel between what he’s done and the way that other notable figures in the US have handled sensitive materials:

I had every right to have these documents, personal belongings in boxes. Joe Biden didn’t. Even Mike Pence didn’t have that right. They weren’t covered by the Presidential Records Act. I was because I was president, but they weren’t. But these scoundrels and thugs, they only come after me. they didn’t go after the many, many other presidents that kept their documents.”
