I never thought I’d see the day when Mr. Vanity himself, Donald J. Trump, not only openly admitted that he’s got a combover, but actually went so far as to say it looks bad — but here we are.
The scandal-plagued and felony-convicted former President recently held a campaign rally in Grand Rapids, Michigan — the first of its kind since his Butler, Pennsylvania rally, where he ended up being the target of a bona fide assassination attempt that cost him a little skin off the top of his right ear when he was grazed by an AR-15 bullet fired from a nearby rooftop by 20-year-old shooter Thomas Matthew Crooks.
But despite it being such a monumental occasion, with an open opportunity for a humdinger of a speech, it seems that Donald was quickly distracted and annoyed by his own hair and, more specifically, the way it looked on camera — so much so that he stopped mid-speech to yell at his staff to turn the camera off before quickly changing course and calling his weird and unflattering hairdo a “work of art”:
You know, I have to just interject… If you would turn off those cameras, cause I don’t want this… See the screen up there of me? That’s very severe, that combover. That’s a severe sucker! What’s with that one? It looks okay from the other side [audience laughs]… But that is very severe! I apologize. Man! I looked up there, I said ‘Whoa!’ Look at that. Wow. That’s like a work of art!”
