Back in July, Donald Trump refused to say on “Fox News Sunday” whether he would accept the results of November’s election if he loses to Joe Biden, telling host Chris Wallace: “I have to see. I’m not just going to say yes. I’m not going to say no.” He also said, “I’m not a good loser,” and that’s probably the only truthful statement we’ve heard from this president.
The German magazine Der Spiegel has delivered a scathing take on Donald Trump in an article titled, “The loser of the year,” that touched on the president’s refusal to concede, as well as his response to the coronavirus pandemic that has brought this country to a standstill.
Der Spiegel describes how Trump’s refusal to accept President-elect Joe Biden’s victory is “not surprising” because “nothing is normal under Trump.” Yeah, we noticed that, too.
“Instead, he speaks of massive electoral fraud, although there is no evidence for it. Trump’s presidency ends as it began. Without decency and without dignity,” the article continues.

“The country is more divided than ever since the times of the Civil War,” Roland Nelles and Ralf Neukirch write. “This is not a by-product of Trump’s politics, it is their goal,” the piece continues, adding, “permanent conflict is part of his strategy… he does not even give the impression that he is the president of all Americans.”
Der Spiegel said that “Trump is fueling the conflict” with the Black Lives Matter movement, the protests, and counter-protests following the murder of George Floyd.
“He sends federal troops to Portland, although the Governor of Oregon is against it,” the piece continues. “He blames the ‘Antifa’ for the violence and avoids setting himself apart from right-wing extremist militias.”
The scathing article criticizes Trump for dismissing numerous administration officials and targets his impeachment trial and the Republican senators it says have acted as the president’s enablers. “The formerly proud party of Abraham Lincoln has degenerated into a collection of spineless yes-men.”
The magazine also notes that Trump became a super-spreader instead of a leader:
Donald Trump hat die Pandemie stets verharmlost, dann erkrankte er selbst an Covid-19 und wurde zum Superspreader. Rekonstruktion der entscheidenden Phase vor seiner Abwahl. https://t.co/HShQyKLRz0 pic.twitter.com/2H4MZbauRf

Oh boy, they aren’t wrong, and right now, we’re witnessing a party of cowards that are too afraid of our raging narcissistic president to stand up for our country. The United States has become a laughingstock with Trump at the helm. I’d label Trump as the “Biggest loser of all time,” but that’s just me.
