As we get further and further away from the controversial 2020 presidential election, it seems even some of Donald Trump’s closest allies and supporters are growing tired, weary, and exasperated with the ex-president’s refusal to shut up about it.
Just recently, we reported on former Trump strategist and senior White House aide Kellyanne Conway’s remarks on the matter, when she appeared on Fox News and opined that her old boss is wasting way too much breath on the long-gone and over-with 2020 election, and more specifically, his demented notion that he actually won that election, while also heaping a bit of praise onto Donald’s sworn political rival, Ron DeSantis, likely serving to ultimately destroy her relationship with the guy she used to work for.
But it seems Kellyanne isn’t the only one with a Fox slot who’s sick and tired of hearing Donald Trump whine about being a loser.
This week, high-level Fox talking head Laura Ingraham made it clear in her segment that she thinks Trump needs to move on from 2020, especially since he has already announced his candidacy for 2024.

“Now, if I were Trump and running his campaign, I’d strongly urge him to stop talking about 2020,” Ingraham said on her Fox show yesterday. “It’s over. Enough. Marinating in old claims of election fraud will not win over a single voter in any state that he needs to win in 2024.”
She went on to call on the former president to “reassure voters that you can win,” as she aired an on-screen graphic to back up her point. But Trump doesn’t seem to be willing to actually take that advice from anyone. Instead, it seems he thinks the only way to win in 2024 is to convince everyone that he did win in 2020 and was cheated out of his second term, so he rightfully deserves to come back in the next round.
On her segment, Igraham encouraged the scandal-ridden ex-president to “surround yourself with givers, not takers,” while adding that Trump should hire “serious policy people” who will “run a tight ship,” and pointedly noted that Donald should focus on running against the Democrats, not the media, as he continues to spend all his time raging against anyone who dares to publish or report something he deems inappropriate.
“And maybe, just maybe drop the nicknames and the petty personal stuff,” Ingraham said. “It was funny in 2016 and even in 2020, but I don’t think it works with how serious the challenges are right now.”
But, of course, the Fox host wouldn’t be a good Fox host at all if she didn’t make sure she threw in an insult against the current US president before she concluded.
“Although, I think you should keep ‘Sleepy Joe,'” Ingraham added. “I like that one.”
This isn’t the first time that Laura Ingraham has taken a thinly-veiled shot at the way Trump is handling himself.
Back in November, hot off the embarrassing midterm elections, Ingraham had similar thoughts, saying at the time, “Going to 2024, the Republicans are going to be looking for candidates who are focused on winning – not just making a point or settling a score. If the voters conclude that you’re putting your own ego or your own grudges ahead of what’s good for the country, they’re going to look elsewhere, period.”
